Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing 3D models, technical drawings, and design solutions for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles, have excellent CAD skills, and a passion for delivering innovative, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD software to create functional product designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and production staff, to ensure designs meet client requirements and project specifications.
• Perform detailed design analysis, including material selection, tolerances, and manufacturing processes, to optimize product designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
• Modify and improve existing designs based on testing, customer feedback, or project requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, assembly instructions, and specifications for production and manufacturing.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving efforts related to design and production challenges.
• Support the prototype and testing phases of product development, ensuring designs perform as expected.
• Work on improving design processes and maintaining design best practices within the team.
• Manage and track project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining design integrity.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in CAD software and design technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD in a design engineering role.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling, drafting, and design principles.
• Experience with creating and modifying detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings, assembly designs, and product documentation.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis tools and techniques (e.g., FEA, CFD) is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate design concepts effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality in designs.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Desired Skills:

• Certification in SolidWorks (e.g., SolidWorks Certified Professional) is highly desirable.
• Experience with other CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Inventor) is a plus.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and compliance regulations.
• Experience with rapid prototyping or 3D printing technologies is an advantage.
• Knowledge of product testing, validation, and quality assurance processes
