Design Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diploma Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and will assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems, components, and equipment.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software.
• Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the functionality and efficiency of mechanical designs.
• Support the manufacturing process by providing engineering solutions for production issues.
• Conduct product analysis, including material selection, failure analysis, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot design and production challenges.
• Assist with assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Participate in design reviews, product testing, and quality assurance activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Create technical documentation, reports, and maintenance manuals for engineering projects.
• Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and resources.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, drafting, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
• Basic knowledge of materials, mechanical components, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, or automation systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical tools, machines, or testing equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ASME, or ANSI is a plus.
